Student Work-Study

The Yuma Symposium Advisory Board would again like to offer a limited number of work-study positions to students to attend this years annual Symposium. We invite educators to nominate one student for a FREE REGISTRATION; someone whom you feel might benefit from the multidisciplinary format and relaxed environment. These work-study positions are for students willing to work during the symposium at a variety of jobs such as setting up for presentations, handling audio-visual equipment, assisting the presenters, and helping with the final night dinner and cleanup.  Work-study recipients must be dependable, enthusiastic, and have NOT received a position in past years.

Registration includes entry to all presentations/demonstrations, the final night dinner and dance.  Motels are within easy walking distance and are inexpensive.  This is an event organized primarily by artists, for artists and we hope you will encourage your students to join you in attending.

To nominate one of your current students for work-study, please fill out the application form by Wednesday, January 26, 2017.  Once we have determined how many we can accept for this symposium, we will contact them directly with a letter of welcome and directions on how to sign up for their work-study.  If your colleagues in other fields would also be interested in nominating a student to attend, please have them contact the Work-Study Committee, c/o.

Students will be contacted directly once their work-study application has been received.

Thank you,
